West’s TeleVox SmartText® service provides a convenient way for you to receive appointment reminders while you’re on the go. The appointment information is sent to your mobile phone as a text message. You can even store the appointment information on your phone for future retrieval. You will receive up to 15 messages per week.

What is text messaging?

Why am I receiving appointment reminders after my appointment?
Sometimes text messages get delayed due to network latency.
How does my healthcare provider confirm that I have received the message?
Your healthcare provider may ask for a confirmation code. You will see additional information for confirmation options in the text message.
I am receiving messages but they don’t seem to be complete.
Please contact your healthcare provider. Most mobile phones support 160 character length messages. You may have a special device that is shortening the original message.
My phone gives me an error message saying “Memory Full.”
Please contact your mobile phone service provider for instructions to clear your phone memory. Alternatively, you can try to delete your old messages. Keep in mind that messages cannot be retrieved once deleted.
How safe are these messages? Am I at a risk of receiving any virus?
No. The messages you will receive from this service are secured and will not transmit any type of virus.
Can I sign up for this service from this web site?
