Mobile, AL, July 24, 2007 — Thirteen TeleVox clients were recently recognized as “Honor Roll Hospitals” by U.S. News and World Report as part of the 2007 America’s Best Hospitals ranking.
The 2007 America’s Best Hospitals report was compiled by RTI International, a leading research organization based in Research Triangle Park, NC. The evaluation ranked hospitals across 16 different specialties on reputation, mortality index and other care-related factors. Of the 5,462 hospitals evaluated, only 173 were considered exceptional within a specific specialty. The 18 “Honor Roll Hospitals” demonstrated excellence in at least 6 of the 16 specialties.
“While it is always flattering to see long-time partners such as Johns Hopkins on the 2007 list, hospitals such as University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital represent newer faces in the TeleVox family,” says Chad Greer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TeleVox. “We’re anxious to build partnerships with the remaining members of the list and help more current clients achieve —’Honor Roll’ status.”
TeleVox clients have used automated messaging and/or automated lab results delivery to streamline communication with patients. HouseCalls®, TeleVox’s automated messaging system, has delivered a wide range of messages for clients, including appointment reminders, recall notices and account balance notifications. Text-to-speech technology allows HouseCalls to create a seamless message by merging pre-recorded voices with patient-specific elements such as name, date, location and amount due.
Through the LabCalls® lab results delivery system, TeleVox clients have eliminated much of the time and resources needed to communicate results to patients. Patients are able to access results via touch-tone phone or Internet at whatever time is most convenient for them. Providers benefit from more efficient message delivery and thorough documentation of patient retrieval.
The 2007 list of “Honor Roll Hospitals” is featured in the July 23 issue of U.S. News and World Report.
