Last week, I posted about our new series of Healthy World reports, and how they’re helping us uncover and understand the gap between provider communication and patients’ accountability for their own health.
I’m excited to announce that we’ve just added our latest report to the group, and I encourage you to click the link and spend some time with the information presented. “Know Your Health: A Necessary Focus on Prevention”, offers something for both patients and providers.
From the patient perspective, the report offers insight into key point-of-care and between-visit actions that are essential to a successful wellness strategy. These include keeping up with annual exams, asking thorough questions of providers during visits and being clear on what an insurance plan covers. Mothers and aging adults receive additional attention, as the report covers strategies specific to their unique wellness needs.
There is also the issue of how providers can help communicate these preventive actions to their patients without pulling time away from in-office patients, and “Know Your Health” highlights the increasing role of technology here.
