In our recent webinar “Is Your Practice Digitally Fit?”, we asked participants a couple of poll questions to get a feel for their current level of engagement and interaction with their practice’s online marketing strategy.
One of those questions was “How often do you update your website?”, and the results were eye-opening to say the least. 22% of respondents say they only update their site on a quarterly basis, while 28% (the highest volume of responses in the survey) say they only update annually. More surprising? 1 in 6 practices (16%) say they never update it. That means that only 34% of practices are updating their site on at least a monthly basis.
That’s simply not often enough to stay ahead of the competition in online search. A ranking factor for Google and other search engines is how often you’re refreshing the content on your website. If your content is stagnant, Google sees that. What’s at risk? You could be losing valuable opportunities to capture website visits from current and potential patients along with the appointments they’re looking to schedule.
