Introducing LabCalls
TeleVox's LabCalls automated lab results reporting allows doctors or staff to assign lab result messages quickly and easily with the click of a mouse. From a touch-tone phone or Internet connection, patients call or log in to the LabCalls system to retrieve their results, using a unique PIN to ensure private access.
Hosted Service (Application Service Provider)
LabCalls is a web-enabled system that allows you to access and use LabCalls via the Internet. Through the LabCalls web portal, you can record and assign messages; provide online access to patients' test results; and view, print e-mail or auto-fax daily reports.
Message Assignment and Storage
Doctors and staff can assign messages for patients to retrieve from an Internet connection or a touch-tone phone. Secure PINs ensure that only authorized personnel assign messages. For security and medical record-keeping purposes, LabCalls permanently stores messages, allowing you to review old messages and examine system activity.
Message Variety
LabCalls supports a variety of messages, all tailored to the needs of your organization. LabCalls messages contain every important detail about a patient's test results. Messages are grouped into three general categories:
- Standard Library Messages - These messages are recorded during on-site training and can be used for all patients. Example: "Your blood chemistry analysis was within range. Liver enzymes, kidney function, blood sugars, protein, calcium and potassium levels are all normal."
- Value-Driven Messages - These messages require unique values for each patient - i.e., cholesterol level. For example, when you assign the Cholesterol Test Message, LabCalls will prompt you to input the specific numeric value for the patient. Range limits - numbers you specify for the value to fall between - validate proper data entry.
- Personal Messages - This type of message is personally recorded by the doctor. Personal messages allow you to create unique messages to meet the different situations of each patient. Messages concerning dietary guidelines, prescription refills, medication instructions or follow-up information are examples of these messages.
Labs Ready Notifications
LabCalls' flexibility allows patients to manage how they would like to be notified that lab results are ready. As an alternative to phone notifications, patients can sign-up through mytestresults.com to receive text messages, allowing you to notify patients while they're on the go. E-mail notifications are also available and delivered at no charge to the patient or provider.
Flexible PINs
LabCalls assigns a unique PIN to each patient based on any data from your practice management system or EMR application such as: social security numbers, phone digits, chart numbers, etc. Additionally, LabCalls uses security PINs for doctors and staff, allowing variable access to the system. You can specify which staff members assign messages, record prompts, etc. LabCalls is a HIPAA-compliant technology.
Reporting
Comprehensive reporting provides a detailed analysis of each day's system activity. You'll never wonder who assigned a lab result message or if a patient retrieved results. LabCalls enables you to create a reporting schedule that will distribute reports - via fax or e-mail - to local and/or remote locations. Additionally, LabCalls can print standard labels for each patient inquiry. Apply these labels to patient records for documentation and audit trail.
