HouseCalls, TeleVox's automated messaging system, delivers personalized phone, e-mail and/or text messages to customers including name, date, time, location or any other variables. HouseCalls uses natural voices and can deliver messages at any time of the day, early evening or even weekends.

Multiple Message Types

HouseCalls can create and deliver a variety of messages for your utility. Your choices are virtually unlimited. Common message types include:

SmartText

The SmartText feature of HouseCalls delivers appointment reminder text messages to cell phones, allowing customers to receive messages on the go. SmartText is approved by the Mobile Messaging Association and provides:

  • Data merge

E-mail Functionality

HouseCalls maintains a fully-integrated e-mail capability, allowing you to deliver automated appointment reminders and other notifications. Use professionally-designed templates to build your own custom messages. HouseCalls automated appointment reminder e-mails allow utility customers to add appointments to their electronic calendar and conveniently access a map to the local office.

Response Options

Touch-tone response options ensure crucial two-way communication. Each HouseCalls message can include a unique set of response options. Available response may include:

  • 0-speak with an attendant
  • 1-confirm appointment
  • 2-repeat the message
  • 3-leave a message for the office
  • 4-listen to additional office information
  • 5-cancel or reschedule

Reporting

Reports detail calling activity and customer statuses for each day's calling sessions and are sortable by type of call, location, customer or status. Permanent client histories are archived for your records. HouseCalls can automatically distribute reports via network printers, fax or e-mail to local and/or remote locations.

Multilingual

HouseCalls supports 16 languages and includes scripts for French and Spanish messages. You can designate certain customers to receive foreign language reminders and other messages within the system or allow customers to select a language preference when they receive a call.

Family Messaging

HouseCalls can place a single call for multiple recipients within the same family.

Call Blocking

HouseCalls can designate customers in the system who should not be contacted with an automated balance notification, appointment reminder or other message.

Message Mapping

You can define conditional filters for automatic message assignment. For example, Spanish-speaking clients hear Spanish messages; elderly customers hear louder messages; new clients hear welcome messages. Message mapping means that your clients always receive the appropriate message.

Call Scheduler

You decide when HouseCalls delivers messages: mornings, afternoons or evenings. Calls can be scheduled for multiple days in advance. The Holiday Scheduler feature ensures that HouseCalls doesn't make calls on a holiday.

Answering Machine Detection

TeleVox's exclusive call-processing technology can detect virtually every type of answering machine/recorder tone and leave a message. Additional functionality enables HouseCalls to leave a different message on an answering machine based on your preferences.

Name Library

Currently, HouseCalls maintains a pre-recorded name library of over 60,000 names. HouseCalls permanently stores name recordings for future use in automated appointment reminders and other messages.

Integration

TeleVox has completed over 5,000 integrations with database management systems worldwide. Custom bridges enable HouseCalls to interface with your management system and import all necessary information for appointment reminders, balance notifications and other communication. Our bridges eliminate data entry for utility staff members and ensure accurate message content.
