TeleVox Expands Patient Communication Capabilities With SmartTextâ„¢

Mobile, AL, March 30, 2006 – TeleVox Software, Inc. announces the availability of SmartText™, a text messaging feature now available with its HouseCalls ASP™ automated messaging system. The SmartText feature is the latest addition to the message delivery methods offered by HouseCalls. Now, HouseCalls ASP users in the medical industry can choose from phone, e-mail, text messaging or any combination of the three when delivering appointment reminders.

SmartText allows practices and healthcare organizations to deliver appointment reminders to patients’ cell phones up to two hours before their scheduled visit. As with HouseCalls ASP phone and e-mail messages, each text message can include patient-specific information such as name, date, time and location. Messages also include opt-in/opt-out selections to ensure patients’ privacy and acceptance.

SmartText is compatible with major wireless network providers and is approved by the Mobile Messaging Association, the regulatory organization for mobile messaging.
