TeleVox Announces Client Satisfaction Study Results

Mobile, Ala., January 2, 2001 - TeleVox Software, Inc., a leading interactive software communications solutions provider headquartered in Mobile, Ala., today announced the findings of a client satisfaction impact study conducted by third-party source, Terry B. Brauer, CEO of Healthcare Management Consultant.

The client satisfaction study was conducted by HCMC in the fall of 2000 and was used to evaluate the benefits of TeleVox's HouseCalls™ and LabCalls® in live healthcare environments. HouseCalls is a message delivery system designed to assist healthcare practices deliver appointment reminders, or any other type of informative message accurately to their patients and, in the process, create more time for staff members to focus on patients in the office. LabCalls enables busy medical practices the ability to provide patients an efficient and personal confidential test-results system.

HCMC conducted site visits and telephone surveys with physician offices, IPA and hospital personnel who are directly responsible for oversight of the daily application, record keeping and operation of the TeleVox products utilized in their respective patient care settings. HCMC's study found the sampling of clients has used TeleVox Software for periods ranging from four months to more than four years.

Every TeleVox client of those surveyed indicated that over a hundred hours each month were saved in staff time, which would otherwise be utilized to make calls for appointment reminders and/or inform patients of their lab results. HCMC additionally found that TeleVox's software saves the average medical practice $25,000 per year in the direct costs (staff salary dedicated to performing the task that HouseCalls completes).

Of all the participants surveyed, each reported a significant reduction in the number of 'no-shows' or broken appointments, generally in the range of 30 percent. Physicians also reported that patients also came to their appointments better prepared.
